Livelihood and Enterpreneurship Development: A proven and strategic option to reduce poverty

1. Employment opportunities are quite specific to certain types of qualifications and skills and are not sufficient for the population who are not employed nor qualified for jobs abroad.

2. Livelihood opportunities abound for the hard working and those willing to the bold step of investing sweat equity. One example of this livelihood which is easy to observe is garbage or trash rummaging, sorting these for resale to buyers of sorted used items.

3. One also observes many cooked food suppliers who peddle their cooked food viands to many construction and office worker in various communities.
