Movement for Better Values laud inclusion of Satur and Liza with Senator Villar and Legarda senatorial line up.

Progressive bets in the Nacionalita Party senatorial slate is a welcome development says an advocacy group.

The 200,000 strong members of the Movement for Better Values welcomed the progressive Makabayan bets Rep. Satur Ocampo and Rep. Liza Maza as guest senatorial candidates of the Nacionalitst Party (NP) of Senator Manny Villar.

The Movement for Better Values (MBV) headed by Chairman Exequiel Villacorta Jr., said that the inclusion of Satur and Liza in NP’s senatorial slate is a welcome development citing they will be able to contribute to the nationalist, pro-people, business and environment friendly development policies for the country.

Villacorta said Ocampo and Maza are staunch advocates for local business and self- reliant economy.

Satur and Liza earlier cited the NP’s program as the closest platform compatible with the Makabayan’s program of government which is their primary reason for joining Villar’s NP .

The MBV has expressed to support the presidential bid of Senator Manny Villlar.

“We believe in the platform espoused by Senator Manny Villar putting premium to our mission of fighting poverty and oppression through entrepreneurship and responsive governance,” Villacorta said.

The movement believes that the political partnership of Villar and Legarda and the support of the progressive representatives will realize the real empowerment of the less privileged sectors of the country.

Both Villar and Legarda are advocates for the protection of the environment as they vow to champion the fight against poverty and promote clean and green country.

The MBV is composed of committed businessmen, professional, youth sectors, academicians, and values-oriented groups driven by honesty and hard work, respect for freedom and the environment.

It was inspired by the success of Villar’s battle cry of “sipag at tigaya” which speaks of his rags-to-riches story, the spirit of cooperation and aspiration to institute genuine and responsive governance.

It aims to deliver doable micro-level grassroots programs for the uplift of the economic condition of the urban and rural poor nationwide.
